Continuous operations

Examples include MIG/MAG welding, adhesive or sealant dispensing, and other continuous-path work modeled in Siemens Process Simulate along seams or beads.

To produce optimized trajectories, Resolver needs continuous paths that are already defined in your study and passed through export (segments / targets the connector can read). Resolver does not change the seam (TCP tilt along the weld, bead placement, seam distribution across robots, and similar seam geometry you define in Process Simulate). That programming stays as you authored it.

Resolver plans transit motion between home and each seam, and from one seam to the next—collision-aware passes that join your exported continuous segments into a runnable task. It does use those seam paths when it plans coordination: it respects them for motion and collision checks, builds interlocks, and can change the order of operations within the overall task so robots avoid blocking each other.
