What Is the Visual Components Connector?
The Visual Components ConnectorSoftware plugins, developed by RTR, that enables the export of projects from 3rd party simulation tools such as Process Simulate and Visual Components for use with Resolver. The Connector also enables... is a software plugin developed by RTR that bridges Visual Components and Resolver. It lets you:
- Export workcell projects from Visual Components for optimization in Resolver.
- Import optimized robot paths and interlocks back into Visual Components after Resolver completes the path-planning process.
Before You Begin
You need:
- A Resolver account. If you do not have one, request an account first — the Connector download lives behind the login.
- A supported Visual Components installation — see Supported Versions below.
Workflow at a Glance
The round trip crosses two applications. You prepare and export in Visual Components, Resolver plans in the cloud, and the results come back into the same Visual Components study.

Steps 5 and 6 happen in the Resolver web app, not in the Connector. If you have exported a study and are wondering what to do next, that is where you are in the workflow.
Supported Versions
The Connector supports the Visual Components versions listed under system requirements. We recommend always running the latest Connector, whichever Visual Components version you are on.
The same Connector serves both Visual Components and MELSOFT Gemini, so the two share a release cadence and a version number.
To check which version you have installed, open the settings menu and select About.
