Unexportable Robot Attachments
Platform: Process Simulate
Some devices attached to a robot are internal components embedded inside the robot's CAD file (legacy Robcad data). Their joint kinematics cannot be solved through the Process Simulate API, so they cannot be exported regardless of export settings. Acknowledging the warning lets export continue without those attachments.
Dialog shown in Resolver
Robot: {robotName}Devices: {deviceNames} These devices are internal robot components and cannot be exported
What you can do in this dialog
- Can you continue export? Yes
- Buttons in the popup: OK
- What happens next: Acknowledging the warning lets you proceed with the export.
- Next step: See impact if you continue
Impact if you continue
The listed attachments are not included in the Resolver study. Their motion and collision geometry are absent from optimization for this export.
How to fix it
- If the attachment must move in Resolver, remodel it as a separate device in Process Simulate outside the robot CAD file, with a solvable kinematic chain.
- If the attachment is intentionally internal and static for your process, you can continue export and accept that Resolver will not model those components.
- Save the study and re-run export after any modeling changes.
