Unreachable External TCP Locations

Platform: Process Simulate

This sanity check verifies that operation locations using an external TCP are reachable by their assigned robots. Exporting unreachable locations is not supported for operations using an external TCP—unlike other unreachable locations, these cannot be exported as unassigned. The export cannot proceed until all such locations are made reachable.

Dialog shown in Resolver

The following external TCP location(s) are unreachable: - Robot: {robotName}, Location: {locationName}, Operation: {operationName} Exporting unreachable locations is not supported for operations using an external TCP. Make these locations reachable, for example by teaching the missing external axis values, and export again.

What you can do in this dialog

  • Can you continue export? No
  • Buttons in the popup: OK
  • What happens next: The export does not continue until the issue is fixed.
  • Next step: How to fix it

Impact if you continue

Export cannot complete while any listed external TCP location stays outside the assigned robot's reachable workspace.

How to fix it

  1. In Path Editor, open the operation and location from the dialog for the listed robot.
  2. Teach the missing external axis values, jog the robot to the pose, or otherwise make the location reachable for the external TCP.
  3. Save the study and re-run export.
