Mounted tool hidden

Platform: Process Simulate

A robot has an external joint (mounted tool or device) that is hidden in the scene and not made visible by any DISPLAY command in the exported operations. You can continue export after OK, but the joint value for that device is exported on all operations—even if the device is never unhidden during simulation.

Dialog shown in Resolver

This robot has an external joint that is hidden: Robot {robotName}Device {deviceName} The joint value will be exported on all operations, even if never unhidden

What you can do in this dialog

  • Can you continue export? Yes
  • Buttons in the popup: OK / Cancel
  • What happens next: OK lets you proceed; Cancel stops export so you can review visibility.
  • Next step: See impact if you continue or How to fix it

Impact if you continue

Resolver receives a fixed joint value for the hidden device across all operations. That may not match what you see in the viewport if the tool is meant to appear only in some phases of the program.

How to fix it

  1. In Process Simulate, unhide the device in the object tree or layout visibility for the robots listed.
  2. If the tool should appear only during certain steps, add appropriate DISPLAY commands in those operations.
  3. Confirm the export scope matches your intent, then save and re-run export.
